Congratulations to Julia and Bill. They had a beautiful wedding at Diamond Banquet Hall in Markham. We were there to provide Wedding DJ services including speakers and lighting to make the party super fun.
Our playlist was a mix of Chinese wedding songs and modern English songs – with an emphasis on 60s and 70s rock during the cocktail hour. This is all part of ensuring we’re able to fuse traditional Chinese wedding elements with western ones.
The reception started at 7:00 pm when we introduced the Bridal Party to the tune of Hello by Martin Solveig and Dragonette. Dinner was a generous 12 course Chinese banquet. Wow… we were all stuffed afterwards.
We eventually kicked off the First Dance after the food, speeches, games and Bouquet/Garter tosses were out of the way. There’s something about Only You by the Platters that gets you into a romantic mood. Anyway, it was such an awesome wedding.

Table setting

We’ll be giving these centre pieces away later.

A tower of glasses in preparation for the champagne toast.

Another tower. This time it’s made of cup cakes. These types of wedding cakes are very practical and easy to consume.

We also had a beautiful ice sculptured swan. Nice touch.

We were graced with couples among the guests. Kicking the party off with a slow dance was a great idea.
