We had the pleasure to party with Alice and Bobby on their wedding day.  Their wedding was held on a Friday evening.  This was a perfect time to wind down from work and enjoy the company of family/friends to celebrate with Alice and Bobby.

This Taiwanese wedding came with it’s own pleasant surprises.  What comes to mind when you hear “Church going Chinese parents”?  It’s the opposite of what you’re thinking of right now.  Alice and Bobby’s parents and uncles/aunties took over the mic at some point in the evening.  They provided colourful insights into Alice/Bobby’s lives growing up, sang, danced, and even played games.  It took awhile before the MC got the mic back. =)  This was definitely the highlight of the evening and is what Alice/Bobby will remember for many years to come.

I got some picture below.  Enjoy!

The Lakehouse

A view of Liverpool Rd. This is what guests will first see as they approach the Lake House.

Welcome to the Lake House

Welcome to the Lake House

The Lake House Front

The Lake House is an intimate venue for a wedding. It boasts of spectacular views of the lake, craftsman style architecture, and has ample parking.

View

Another view to enjoy.

Harbor

This is the view of the Harbor. This view is from the second level where cocktails were held. The view from the main reception hall is roughly the same.

Projector Screen

The projector screen beside the dessert table.

Pre-opening

Preparing for the wedding reception.

Table markers

The labels on each table came with retro pictures of Alice and Bobby. This was a nice touch. It fit the theme of the evening which was more about where both of them grew up and the friends/family that were there along the way.

Wedding menu

The menu for the night. The Lake House kitchen staff sure can prepare a feast.

The Lakehouse Reception

The Lake House wedding reception with about 170 people. The space was quite intimate so we didn’t have much room left for a dance floor. On the plus side, you get to see and mingle with everybody.

Wedding Cake

The wedding cake had a simple and classic touch to it.

Dessert table

Out came these delectable desserts just when people thought the party was over. Huge lines ensued. Just a taste of each one please…
